About Me

Heidi Ruvalcaba is a performer that indulges in many different disciplines with a strong passion for jazz funk and hip-hop. Heidi was born and raised in Brownsville, TX where she trained in various studios and learned styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip hop, Belly Dance, Folklorico, Flamenco, Contemporary, and Lyrical. She received her dance teacher’s certification at the age of eighteen by Dance Educators of America and followed the dance route by taking several dance courses at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Heidi decided to keep pursuing her career in dance by moving to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles she was enrolled and completed the IDA certificate program, attended classes in the most prestigious dance studios including Millennium, The Edge, Movement Lifestyle, and Debbie Reynolds where she was trained by the most well known choreographers in the commercial dance industry. Heidi Ruvalcaba currently works MA Dance Nation where she travels around the U.S during the summer teaching all styles of dance and creating choreography for schools and studios. She is currently the game entertainment and dance director for a new first division professional indoor soccer team (RGV Barracudas FC) of the Major Arena Soccer League. In addition to that, Heidi obtained an inclusion and special needs certification from the Childcare Education Institute and is currently a dance instructor for the Rio Grande Valley Down Syndrome Association. Hoping to inspire many people around the world, Heidi will continue to study dance and provide it as a form of therapy for kids and adults with disabilities.
