Event Description

Argentine Tango Master Gabriel Misse (called the Baryshnikov of Tango" by Alastair Macaulay in The New York Times), and superb partner Carla Espinoza return to NYC to participate in the Latin American Cultural Week's Shall We Tango, a series of seminars, classes, and milongas, November 3-12. Classes are designed to improve technique, build sequences, and develop Argentine Tango culture and music appreciation.  Misse has drawn on his own training and vast knowledge to create a seminar to help dancers on all levels.  November 3-12 at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 8th Avenue.  Also on Saturday November 4th, there will be an Open Tango Lesson by Karina Romero at 8:30 PM (Ms. Romero had the pleasure of coaching Liam Neeson in tango for the 2017 film "Felt"), followed by a Milonga with performance by Misse & Espinoza from 9:30 PM to 2 AM at Manhattan Ballroom, 29 W 36 St.  Daily schedules and rates at   For complete info on other dance, music, theater and visual arts events on Latin American Cultural Week, visit
