Event Description

Anahid Sofian Dance Company celebrates its 35th anniversary with a rousing gala performance of both traditional and contemporary Far and Middle Eastern dances. The 25+ dancers and musicians will include Nourhan Sharif & Dancers, The Sera Solstice Ensemble, and music by the Souren Baronian Ensemble on traditional instruments. Program will feature dances inspired by the cultures of Persia, Armenia, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and more, along with several renderings of Egyptian Raqs Sharki, known in the West as belly dance.
