Dance Parade returns live this year for a grand celebration of all genres of dance. The event opens May 21 with a noon ribbon cutting by Mayor Eric Adams at 20th Street & Broadway.  Led by the three grand marshals: Heidi Latsky, DJ Rich Medina, and Eduardo Vilaro, the happy event moves down Broadway to Astor Place, where there will be short performances by selected ensembles. The festivities continue across St. Mark's Place to Tompkins Sq. Park, where 5 stages will be set up for performances and classes, all free. Just a few of the participating companies are Ballet Hispanico, and groups of Asian, Bolivian, Flamenco, Mexican, bellydancers, and much much more.
