About Me
I hold a BFA in Dance from the University of Akron, an MFA in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I am a two-time finalist in the Leo's Choreography Competitive Event at the Jazz Dance World Congress.

I am Founding Artistic Director of James Robey Dance, director of the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, a member of the Society of Dance History Scholars, the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, the National Dance Education Organization, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, on the Advisory Boards for both the Connecticut Dance Alliance and the Ridgefield Music and Arts Center, on the Danbury Task Force for Dance, and author and creator of the Jazz Dance Technique and Syllabus™. I have been a faculty member in the dance programs at The Hartt School/University of Hartford and the University of Akron.

I danced professionally in the companies of Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Connecticut Ballet, New York Dance Theater, Ground Works Dance Theater, Off Center Dance Theater, Ohio Dance Theatre, Covenant Dance Theater, Cleveland Opera, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Tokyo Disneyland, Disney World, and Busch Gardens.

Indeed it is! Are you still teaching out there at all? Ever do Jazz Congress anymore? I haven't lived in NYC in a very long time, but I do miss taking classes!
